Doug Caputo

Doug Caputo enters his fourth season as an Assistant Men's Basketball Coach in 2025-26. He is intimately involved in recruiting, on-court coaching, practice planning, opponent scouting, player development and game planning. Caputo helped the Cougars secure their second and third PAC Championships (2023, 2025) and second and third automatic bids to the NCAA Tournament.

Previously, Caputo spent 2 years as an Assistant Basketball Coach at Westminster College.

Caputo had a stellar four-year playing career at John Carroll University. Caputo was a three-time All-OAC selection at forward. In his junior year, Caputo was a member of the 2015-16 OAC Championship Team. Caputo was also a part of two John Carroll teams that made appearances in the NCAA Division III Men's Basketball Tournament. Caputo served as an assistant coach at his alma mater, Cardinal Mooney High School and was an assistant coach at Cleveland Cavaliers Academy for two years.

Caputo graduated with a Bachelor's Degree in Communications from John Carroll in 2017 and is the co-host of The Rising Coaches Podcast.
